Master Planning (47 acres)

Delaware Run was too westerly to be in town, too easterly to remain farmland, and too steep/wet to simply become another housing subdivision. It was the ideal site for Willow Brook to continue its mission of providing shelter for residents in their final phases of life. Rural character was essential to retaining regional vernacular despite bustling growth encircling the community. Integration of independent housing with natural landscape, while maintaining characteristics of the drainageways, was an important goal in the design. 52 twin single homes, 87 independent apartments, 76 healthcare units, the Commons and The Water’s Edge Restaurant comprise the key elements of the overall community when totally completed.

With construction commencing in 2007 of the Apartment / Commons / Assisted Living Facility of Willow Brook at Delaware Run, residents can rest assured their move to this unique campus will be their last. The outstanding landscape makes this community appear as though it’s been here for decades instead of months. This facility helps bring to fruition the promise of Willow Brook Christian Communities’ mission: enabling seniors in living to their fullest potential by providing housing, facilities and services with compassion. Residents can enjoy meals at the Water’s Edge Restaurant, have their hair styled, exercise, participate in bus tours, watch movies, and gather with family and friends. This phase of life is meant to be enjoyed comfortably and vibrantly with dignity.
